The biggest reason we are anxious is we’ve forgotten that we belong to the family of God, and God is the head of His household.
If we are doing our job, our children don’t worry about keeping the power on or where their next meal will come from. Those things don’t concern them because they have a father.
How many of us find out later in life that our families where going through some terrible challenge and we, as little kids, where completely oblivious to it?
We, as parents, shield our children from things which are outside their abilities. This is natural.
And this should be our attitude as children of God.
This is why in Matthew 6, Jesus says, Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things."
So a Christian worrying is like a child rejecting, forgetting, or mistrusting the head of the household to do his job. And God is a good father.
The solution to your worry is the fatherhood of God.
